Archangel Uriel: The Archangel of Peace and Wisdom
There are many archangels, but four of the most recognized and written about throughout history are Archangels Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel.
Archangel Uriel is known as the Angel of Peace and Wisdom. His name is often translated as "Light of God" or "Fire of God," a fitting description for an archangel associated with illumination, truth, knowledge, and divine wisdom.
Uriel comes in on the Ruby Ray, a powerful red divine light. His energy is about finding your way, discovering your truth, and having the wisdom and courage to follow it.
A Message from Archangel Uriel
I am on the Ruby Ray. It is a powerful red divine light. It is the way of wisdom—of finding your way and discovering your truth.
Speak from the heart and speak with wisdom. When you are heart-centered, that is when you can truly lean into wisdom.
There is an important connection between the heart and wisdom. We often think of wisdom as something that comes entirely from the mind—from knowledge, education, and experience. But Uriel reminds us that some of our greatest wisdom comes when we quiet the mind and allow the heart to guide us.
Uriel and the Solar Plexus Chakra
In my channels, Uriel has shown me his connection with the solar plexus chakra, the energetic center associated with personal power, confidence, will, and inner knowing.
I oversee the solar plexus chakra. It is important because it is a foundation for your gut feelings, instincts, and intuition. It connects back to your third eye. Anxiety and emotional tension can also settle here.
The solar plexus is often where we experience that unmistakable gut feeling—the sense that something is right or wrong before we can logically explain why.
Uriel's message is:
When I activate the solar plexus, it is like a direct shot of confidence and knowing into your system. It is knowing that you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to. It is breaking free from whatever is limiting you.
Uriel reminds us to trust ourselves, trust our inner knowing, and have the courage to move beyond the fears and beliefs that keep us small.
Uriel, Earth & Grounding
Uriel comes to me from the North, appearing in front of me. His element is Earth, which connects beautifully with his grounding presence.
I help you ground yourself—to come back down to Earth, become present, and feel secure in who you are and where you are going.
There is something incredibly stabilizing about Uriel's energy. His wisdom isn't meant to remain somewhere in the spiritual realm; it is meant to be brought down to Earth and applied to our everyday lives.
Uriel and Our Material World
Uriel has also shown me his connection to our earthly lives and material surroundings.
On Earth, I am also connected to your possessions—what you value, what interests you, where you live, and how you live.
God does not want you to covet what others have or desire things simply because they make you feel superior to someone else. But there is nothing wrong with creating beauty in your life and appreciating the blessings you have been given.
It isn't about spending simply for the sake of spending. It is about using your earthly resources to create a life and livelihood that feel meaningful, beautiful, and abundant.
To me, this is an important distinction. Spirituality does not require us to reject the physical world. We are spiritual beings having an earthly experience, and there can be tremendous gratitude in appreciating the home we live in, the things we have worked for, and the beauty that surrounds us—without allowing those things to define our worth.
Archangel of Knowledge & Wisdom
As the Archangel of Wisdom, Uriel has also shown me what feels like a vast library of knowledge and information available to humanity.
For Earth, I oversee a vast library of information and knowledge. As the Archangel of Knowledge and Wisdom, I help you access the wisdom that already exists within you so that you can make good decisions.
There is so much inside of you to discover and so much for you to learn and absorb.
But Uriel's greatest lesson about wisdom may also be his simplest:
The most important knowledge anyone can attain is understanding that unconditional love will always lead you in the right direction. Let love guide your decisions.
Wisdom, then, isn't simply about how much we know.
It is about what we do with what we know.
And when knowledge is combined with love, compassion, discernment, and truth, it becomes wisdom.
Who Does Archangel Uriel Work With?
Anyone can work with Archangel Uriel, but he often works with the wisdom and knowledge keepers—the librarians, the writers, the collectors of knowledge, and those who seek truth and honesty.
I work with anyone searching for truth or striving to understand the highest truth.
Uriel's energy may be especially meaningful for writers, teachers, researchers, students, librarians, historians, spiritual seekers, and anyone searching for greater knowledge or clarity. But ultimately, his guidance is available to anyone who sincerely seeks wisdom and truth.
I often think of Archangel Uriel being bathed in purple and golden light, offsetting the ruby red ray that he is a part of. I envision him putting his red cloak around my shoulders when I need to think of an important decision, digging in for specific wisdom, and making responsible choices.
Call on me when you’re struggling with a decision. When you need advice or struggling with a situation. Reach up into the heavens and ask for your guides, your angels, and your spirit to help you see a path forward. To think in angelic wisdom, which is always going to be rooted in unconditional love, but listen for the subtle energies, the quiet nudges and internal noise of your spirit. You’ll make wiser decisions in your spirit and not your ego self.
Wisdom, tuning into your soul, your psychic abilities, grounded from anxiety or easing things, leadership, business.
Wise decisions and no ego.
Meditation to Archangel Uriel
Take a deep breath
In and out for a minute or two
Deep breath and in and out.
In for 4 seconds and out like you are blowing out a candle.
Feel it in your diaphragm as a deep, deep breath
Put your hands on your solar plexus, which is around your stomach area, place your hands right beneath your chest.
Feel the breath in and out
Release your mind and think about the point in between your eyebrows, this is referred to as your third eye.
The solar plexus chakra and the third eye chakra are somewhat tied to each other.
As you continue to breath deep do a count in your head of 1,2,1,2
Breath in 1-2
Breath out 1-2.
As you are immersed in your deep breathing, imagine yourself in a field, field of flowers, maybe a mountain
Feel that beautiful area,
Feel yourself surrounded in nature
Invoke and invite Archangel Uriel in to stand before you
Be filled with his love and peace
And so it is.
