The Archangels were created to serve God, uphold divine order, and act as protectors of the heavenly realms. They were entrusted with guarding the gates of Heaven, watching over creation, and serving as sacred conduits between the Divine and mankind.
Their role is one of service, protection, and love—carrying out God’s will across the universe. They exist to help elevate human consciousness, guide souls toward higher levels of awareness, and support mankind in living Godly, purposeful lives. Archangels help us align with our soul path, awaken to divine truth, and become the highest expression of who we were created to be.
What You Need to Know
You do not need to be religious to work with angels or the archangels. These benevolent beings serve humanity regardless of your spiritual background or beliefs. Each archangel carries specific gifts, oversees particular areas of life, and respond to different needs. Think of them as specialized divine support—Gabriel for communication and creativity, Michael for protection and courage, Raphael for healing, Uriel for accessing your divine wisdom, and so much more.
How This Works
Angels hear you the moment you call. You don't need elaborate rituals or perfect words—simple, heartfelt intention is enough. The more you work with angelic energy, the more attuned you'll become to their subtle presence: sudden insights, synchronicities, feathers appearing, a warm feeling, or an unmistakable knowing.
There are over 28 archangels, and depending on people’s experiences and beliefs, more than that. There are some archangels that have ascended to a much higher realm with God, but we still refer and call to them as archangels. Below you will find what they do, their purpose, and who they are; along with an introduction to some of the most widely known archangels to call upon.

The Archangels serve God, and through that sacred service, they are here to guide, support, and uplift you—helping you live your highest and most aligned life. In serving you, they are fulfilling their divine purpose in service to God.
They are within you, beside you, behind you… in front of you, above you, and below - in all directions surrounding you - radiating a love that transcends time.
Ask for them, know that they are there, but they are also doing extremely heavy lifting at this time on Earth. When there is war, famine, injustice, they are there fighting it with everything they have. They have millions of angels helping at any given moment in time. But time does not exist in the heavenly realms, so they are constantly able to help you and be everywhere at once. They have legions of angels that are helping assist mankind and the Lord our God.
Know that they are in service to this universe, service to people, and service to God. He loves you so much that they were created to serve him and therefore serve you.

Gabriel is known as the Divine Messenger, the archangel who delivers sacred announcements and life changing news. He delivers God’s word.
Who is Gabriel?
With a name meaning "God is my strength," Gabriel serves as a bridge between the heavenly and earthly realms, bringing clarity, creativity, and divine communication. Often depicted with a trumpet or lily, and the color or essence of diamond white, Gabriel is the angel of revelation—helping you hear, understand, and trust the messages meant for you. He is most famous for appearing before the Virgin Mary and telling her the good news that she would bear a child, Jesus, as well as appearing before the Prophet Mohammad and delivering him what would become the Qu’ran. He has spoken to and appeared before Prophets for thousands of years.

What to Know
Gabriel is the patron of all messengers, writers, artists, and anyone who works with communication. This archangel oversees creative expression, helping you find your voice and share your truth with the world. Gabriel is particularly attuned to conception and birth—both literal pregnancies and the birth of creative projects, new chapters, and soul callings. If you're creating something sacred, call on Gabriel to help facilitate delivery.

How to Call him In
Sit somewhere quiet or in meditation and speak directly: "Archangel Gabriel, I invite in your presence. Help me hear the divine messages meant for me." Envision his white light all around you, encompassing you like a bubble of light around you and your aura. Ask him to step into your energy. Say his name out loud or in a whisper, and ask him to stand by your side. You can also feel his frequency in selenite, moonstone, clear quartz, or diamonds. Hold on to a piece of clear quartz when you are calling him in and feel his energy.
When to Call him In
Call on Gabriel when:
You're starting a creative project or feeling creatively blocked
You're struggling to communicate something important or preparing for an important conversation
You're trying to conceive or birth something new into the world
You need courage to speak your truth
You're working on writing, art, or any form of creative expression

Archangel Michael
Michael is known as the Divine protector. He was created to protect God, the heavens, and his people. Michael helps you speak your truth and stand in courage with integrity.

With a name that means “He who is like God,” Archangel Michael is known as the great divine protector. Created to guard the heavens and serve God, Source, and the Godhead, he is often seen as the powerful defender of all that is true, just, and good. As guardian of the heavenly gates, Michael embodies courage, righteousness, and unwavering spiritual strength.
In the Bible, Michael appears as a heavenly protector and leader in spiritual battle, standing firmly for God’s people and the triumph of light over darkness. He remains one of the most revered and beloved archangels, a symbol of divine protection, truth, and holy justice.

What to Know
Michael works on the sapphire blue ray and is often depicted carrying the Sword of Truth, which he uses to cut through fear, illusion, and negative energetic cords. He is also known for placing his deep blue cloak of protection around those who call upon him, offering strength, safety, and divine reassurance. He also oversees the throat chakra. Michael helps in people speaking their truth and eliciting courage when you speak. With his sword he helps you cut cords to unhealthy things or people and to help you elevate to your strongest self. Crystals that work with Michael and align with his frequency are lapis lazuli, sapphires, anything blue, and clear quartz.
How to Call him In
Sit in prayer or meditation. Know that he is watching over you. Invite him in to your presence and say “Archangel Michael, I invite you into my presence, know that I need your protection and courage.” Give up your issues to him and whatever is holding you back. Ask Michael to help you establish boundaries, cut cords to people and things that no longer serve you, and fill you with protection and courage. Ask him to place his deep blue cloak of protection around your shoulders. Fee his energy and fire behind you from the south.
When to Call Michael In
Call on Michael when:
When you need protection in specific situations
When you need courage to stand up for yourself
To create healthy boundaries

When doing an energy clearing or clearing of a place or home
The feeling of lower entities, you can call in Michael, but any archangel can move that energy out of your space

Archangel Raphael is known as the great healing angel of the divine realms. He brings healing and abundance and is a soft and subtle energy.
Who is Raphael?
With a name that means “God heals” or “He whom God heals,” Archangel Raphael is known as the great healing angel of the divine realms. He does much more than heal, he brings abundance, and oversees the third eye chakra. He is a soft and subtle energy, relaxing, like nature. He is known to be on the emerald green ray and showers you with that natural green essence of healing. Overseeing the third eye chakra is incredibly important as this is where your intuition lies. Your intuition is one of the most important aspects of being human, your internal voice that protects you and guides you. It is also the link to the divine and divine communication within.
What to Know
He serves as a bearer of God’s mercy, restoration, and compassionate care, helping bring healing to the body, mind, spirit, and soul. Raphael represents wholeness, renewal, peace, and the healing power of divine love.
Often associated with the emerald green ray, Raphael carries a gentle yet powerful healing presence. He is believed to help restore balance, support emotional and physical healing, and guide people toward greater well-being and harmony. His energy is soothing, wise, and deeply nurturing, offering comfort in times of illness, grief, exhaustion, or spiritual imbalance.
In the Bible, Raphael is most clearly known from the Book of Tobit, where he appears as a guide, healer, and protector on a sacred journey. There, he brings healing, protection, and divine assistance, revealing his role as one who walks beside humanity in times of need. Across spiritual traditions, Raphael is honored as a divine physician and loving companion, reminding us that God’s healing presence is always near.
How to Call Raphael In
Archangel Raphael reminds me of the sea and of green rolling hills. Sit in meditation or prayer. Say a prayer or the rosary to put your mind at ease. Think of a beautiful green sea. Imagine yourself releasing from any and all anxiety, letting go of tenseness, and releasing. Surrendering like the ocean. Feel the stress melt away. Physically and mentally let go of what you are holding on to. Release it all and mentally feel a green wave coming over you. Release. Continue to take deep breaths and pray. Prayer doesn’t have to be specific words, it can be giving love to the world and the lord our God. Imagine Archangel Raphael’s green cloak being put over you. Enveloping you in emerald green and the subtle wash of peace that comes over you.

Uriel is know as the angel of peace and wisdom. A powerful archangel who is charged with helping humanity make greater decisions and be filled with sacred wisdom.

With a name meaning "God is my light" or “fire of God” Archangel Uriel is most often known as the angel of wisdom, illumination, and divine truth reflecting his role as a bearer of insight, clarity, and higher understanding.
Uriel’s presence is associated with intellectual and spiritual awakening—the quiet but powerful realization that brings truth into light. He helps illuminate confusion, guide decision-making, and bring divine wisdom into everyday life. Where there is uncertainty, Uriel brings clarity.
What to Know
Uriel is often connected to the ruby ray, a golden or ruby-gold light, symbolizing divine intelligence, insight, and the fire of transformation. This “fire” is not destructive, but illuminating—burning away illusion, ignorance, and lower thought patterns so truth and wisdom can emerge. The red light is the way of wisdom and finding your own way and your truth. He is tied to the element of Earth and oversees the solar plexus chakra. When you are centered in your heart and heart chakra, rooted in love, you make wise choices and decisions. Uriel is tied to grounding and being centered, since that comes from a wise and stable origin. Archangel Uriel is deeply aligned with the solar plexus chakra, the energy center located just above the navel. This chakra governs your personal power, confidence, inner strength, and sense of purpose—and Uriel’s energy brings illumination and clarity directly into this space. Uriel’s light works like a divine flame within the solar plexus, gently burning away doubt, insecurity, and confusion. What remains is a strong, centered sense of self—grounded not in ego, but in truth, wisdom, and divine alignment.
How to Call Uriel In
Chant Uriel in, invoke his presence. I often chant his name three times and break out the syllables like Ur - I -El, Ur - I -El. State your question or request clearly. “Archangel Uriel, help me make the wisest decision that is rooted in my heart and not my head. Anchor me in angelic wisdom, helping everyone around me. (State your specific ask or issue.) And so it is….”
When to Call Him In
Call on Uriel when:
You're struggling with a specific decision and would like to respond with wisdom
When you need advice or struggling with a situation and you would like to be blessed with wisdom
Asking your guides and angels for helping you see the path forward
Need to be grounded or find grounding from anxiousness or anxiety
Making wise decisions in leadership or business
Teachers, counselors, therapists, people giving advice, leaders, the clergy and church who look for wisdom
The solar plexus ties back to the third eye chakra, to strengthen your intuitive or psychic abilities

Archangel Azrael
Archangel Azrael is most often known as the Angel of Death, but his role is far more compassionate and sacred than the title suggests. He is the mysterious 11th dimensional angel who surrounds God and the Godhead.
Who is Azrael?
His name is commonly translated as “Whom God Helps” or “Helper of God,” reflecting his divine purpose as a guide, comforter, and gentle escort of souls. Azrael and his angels are present at every birth, death, and major transition of your life. He keeps the rolls of the akashic records, recording everyone who is born and then passing on. He is also known as the angel of transitions and new beginnings. It’s not dark and despair, his energy is mystical, mysterious at times, but also light and happy, as souls are coming and going, back and forth to their creator and our eternal home, heaven. He is there for you in the beginning and the end; in addition to extremely important times in people’s lives. It’s a cycle and continuation, coming full circle for all humans that he revels in.
What to Know
Personally, I am very close to Archangel Azrael, as he was the first archangel to come to me. He is tall, dressed in black, and surrounded by and enveloped in gold. Gold is the color of the angels and what they represent, which is working for and representing God and God energy. He is one of the highest ranking angels and is considered by many to be higher than an Archangel with his proximity to God and his role. Know that Archangel Azrael and his angels are always with you, when you are born and by your side in death. He is referenced in the Bible, the Torah, and the Qu’ran.
How to Call Him In
Sit in prayer or meditation. You can do both. Quiet your mind. Envision Azrael coming from afar.
He’s in a black cloak, which you can see, and should not be afraid of. Invite him into your energy, your presence, and imagine his dark black cloak opening and enveloping you.
Once you see inside- it’s filled with golden light. A warmth you’ve never felt before, one that invokes feelings of rebirth and a return to home.
Imagine gold butterfly’s and orbs surrounding you and infusing this golden light all around you. Envision a transformation you have been working on. Maybe a new job, home or house, a baby. Anything that is a major life transition. Ask him to oversee it, bless it, and know that you will make it through this time. With Azrael by your side guiding you.
Think of him and his angels presiding over every incredible birth. And every soul being guided back home to the most beautiful place in existence- Heaven. A realm filled with so much love it’s inconceivable.
Sit in meditation with that black and golden cloak around you and literally envision yourself soaking up that golden energy. The golden energy of Christ’s love, of all the ascended masters, and of God’s energy. The frequency of unconditional love. Imagine opening your heart and your frequency to run on that love. Align to it. Open your heart and ask for that guidance and golden love of support from Archangel Azrael. And so it is.
