Archangel Sandalphon
Archangel of the Month
Archangel Sandalphon: The Angel of Music, the Earth Star chakra, and finding your innate Gifts!
Archangel Sandalphon is a mighty archangel with vast responsibilities, but he is also known as part of the Seraphim, the highest of all the choirs of angels. He is responsible for overseeing the Divine Feminine within everyone, oversees the Earth Star Chakra—sometimes referred to as the Elemental Chakra—and helps ground people to the Earth and connect them with their soul path and purpose.
Sandalphon is also known as the Archangel of Music and teaches us how to listen to the divine music of our own soul. He is a vast angel who works closely with Lady Gaia in Hollow Earth and is closely connected to Archangel Metatron, who oversees the gates of Heaven and the Divine Masculine.
The name Sandalphon is also different from most angelic names that end in -el, such as Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. Sandalphon is sometimes translated in spiritual traditions as “co-brother,” which has also contributed to his close association with Metatron.
Awakening your gifts, your soul path and purpose, and grounding you to the Earth’s energy.
Who Is Archangel Sandalphon?
I find that Sandalphon comes across more as an essence—not quite male or female. He has a wondrous personality: funny, heartfelt, light, and even a bit of a prankster and jokester. He is lighthearted and seems to see the good and the fun in everything and everyone. While the heavens are a serious place and serious work is done for God, I believe they also revel in our joy and laughter.
At times, Sandalphon appears to me as an essence of silvery light with amethyst and gold coloring. He has also appeared to me as a Native American figure, which I feel has meaning because of the deep connection many Indigenous traditions have had with the land and the Earth. Before cars and the Industrial Revolution, people lived much more closely with the land—treasuring it, respecting it, and working with it symbiotically.
Another important aspect of Sandalphon is that he helps people connect with the innate gifts already inside of them. Everyone has multiple gifts that God has given them, and those gifts may express themselves differently from one lifetime to another.
From time to time, certain gifts may change or become heightened. You may have been an incredible singer in one life but not in another, yet you may still carry a profound appreciation for music. I often see Sandalphon playing a flute because he loves the beautiful sound it creates.
Crystals that he associates with include amethyst, clear quartz, rhodonite, turquoise, and agate.
The Earth Star Chakra
One practice Sandalphon is a big proponent of is earthing—walking barefoot on the grass or ground and reconnecting with the Earth. Nature can be incredibly restorative. When you are feeling tired, overwhelmed, or run down, and it is safe and feasible to do so, go outside barefoot and allow yourself to relax into the Earth. Touch a tree and feel its magnificence. Breathe in the air. Become still. Nature has a beautiful way of bringing us back to ourselves.
“The Earth star chakra is very important. It is what makes you - you, it anchors you into this world, which is grounding in and of itself. But it holds your gifts. When you release your gifts or understand what they are, and you are ready to live them and breathe them and bring them into the world; it starts at your feet and rises up… Up over you and encapsulates you. Think of a bubble forming around you, like a flame lighting up from beneath you and going all the way to the top and then around you. The flame enveloping you in who you are and who you were always meant to be. What you should be doing and aspects of the person you are, tied into the person you were supposed to be before programming and societal pressures took over.”
How to work with Archangel Sandalphon
Call on Sandalphon when you feel ungrounded, disconnected, unsure of your direction, or confused about your soul path and purpose. Ask him to help ground your energy and illuminate the gifts you already carry within you.
Go outside. Put your feet on the Earth. Listen to music that moves your soul. Sit quietly and ask:
“Sandalphon, help me ground into who I truly am. Help me hear the music of my soul and understand the gifts and purpose God placed within me.”
Then become still and listen.
Sometimes your purpose isn't something you need to go searching for.
Sometimes it is something you need to remember.
Meditation to Call Upon Archangel Sandalphon
Take a few deep breaths, in and out.
Center yourself.
Think of deep, deep, roots coming around your legs, your hips, and flowing down into the ground.
Envision Earth and these roots are grounding you down into hollow earth.
Come with me there.
Into a cave that is filled with crystals, light, and the love of your Lord, God.
In this cave walk amongst me and notice the acoustics.
How sound is playing off the walls and the crystals.
Imagine sitting down and feeling the sound of your soul.
What does it sound like?
Imagine the musical notes coming up and out of you.
What does that sound feel like?
What do you hear?
What does it feel like to hear your soul singing and your spirit rejoicing?
Continue to breathe in and out.
Listen in for a moment.
Now envision your Earth star chakra at your feet being illuminated.
Lighting up and enveloping you.
Feel the sweet flame surrounding your entire body and telling you your gifts as it goes up and up and up.
Up all around you, enveloping you in the sweet flame of your gifts.
Relax and have a sense of knowing.
Knowing what you were made for and how you can entice and light up the world.
How can you bring yourself joy and others?
And so it is.

Final Reflection
Repeat the meditation or prayer whenever you are stuck and don’t know what you are meant for. Don’t know how to move forward.
“Don’t think you are worthy or have gifts bestowed upon you from the creator.
You are worthy as you are a child of God! Picked specifically to incarnate to Earth and to evolve your soul and the soul of others.
We are all in this together and we are all interconnected. No one should be an enemy of anyone. We are all tied together by God. All brothers and sisters. Enjoy and know that you have both aspects of the divine feminine and divine masculine. Both balance each other, both make everyone an incredible person and human being.”
