Archangel Michael: The Angel of Strength, Courage, and Protection
This channel was a long time coming.
Arguably the most famous of the Archangels—and one of the most referenced throughout biblical texts—Archangel Michael is one of the most prominent Archangels known to stand before God.
Even with his intense energy and all that he has on his plate, you can call upon Michael whenever you need him. His name means in Hebrew “Who is Like God?” and he is known as one of the great protectors of the Divine. He stands before God in worship and service, protecting not only Source and those who surround Him, but extending that protection throughout the universe and to all of humanity.
Awakening Creativity, your Inner Strength, and Breathing Fire into everything that you do!
Who Is Archangel Michael?
Archangel Michael is referenced numerous times in the Bible, from the Book of Daniel, where he is named as a protector of the Jewish people, to the Book of Revelation, which describes Michael and his angels battling and defeating Satan and his forces.
While he is not specifically named in the biblical account in Luke, I know that Michael, along with other angels, was present in the Garden of Gethsemane, supporting Jesus as He faced what was to come.
While Michael is almost always depicted as a warrior—and he certainly is—there is so much more to him. His role extends far beyond protection and spiritual battle. There is another side to Michael and to the many ways he supports, strengthens, and guides all of us. Michael brings us courage, protection, strength, the ability to speak our truth, and limitless creativity to all of our pursuits.
Michael brings:
Strength, courage, and protection
Fire that breathes in new beginnings, and clears away the old
Cuts away the negative energy clinging to you and bringing you down
A lifeline to those who are in the line of duty protecting others
He literally has your back.
Archangel Michael and the Blue Ray
Michael is on what is called the Blue Ray, the essence and color that he shines with—a ray of great strength and power. He is often associated with sapphire, as well as lapis lazuli, turquoise, and rhodonite. Many archangels like clear quartz, particularly for its connection to communication and channeling.
Michael is associated with the South, or with standing behind you. His element is Fire, and he oversees the throat chakra, one of the most important energy centers in the body.
The throat chakra is the energy vortex of your speech, your truth, and your ability to connect with others through the way you communicate. It is also connected to clairaudience—the ability to hear intuitive or spiritual messages—and then to verbalize and share those messages with others. As a channeler and psychic, I use clairaudience and call on Archangel Michael to make sure I am a clear and grounded channel.
Archangel Michael:
“Fire is my element. I do have an intense energy, and a fiery one at that. But fire burns away the bad. It burns away the lower energies that are holding you back. Fire cleanses, and it brings renewal.
There is a place for this element everywhere, as it helps usher in new beginnings.
No matter how hard life gets, like the Phoenix, you too can rise from the ashes. And you will rise stronger than before.”
While there are many planets that the Archangels can align themselves with, I have come to understand Michael as being particularly connected to Venus. His love for the universe is so vast, and it is that love that fuels his desire to protect it. Along with Archangel Metatron, there is an interest in Sacred Geometry and the precision of how the universe works and is run, he is so multi-faceted.
Sword of Truth and Cloak of Protection
“In terms of protection, God bestowed on me a beautiful blue cloak called my Cloak of Protection. Whenever you call on me or need my guidance, envision me coming close and putting my electric blue cloak around you and encapsulating you in. Know that I am always by your side and that you are enveloped in my energy. I also carry what is called the Sword of Truth. This is where I cut through the negativity, the dark, and anything holding you back or weighing you down. I cut cords with anything that is hampering you from succeeding or holding you back from moving forward on your path. I often tell people to envision multiple people/things that need to be energetically let go from you – line them up and list them out - stand close and I will cut the cord with my Sword of Truth.
The Sword of Truth was forged by God and given to me when we battled Satan and sent him to hell. From time to time there are so many pressing issues on Earth; how do we help? We do at times have to choose where to get involved. But we have millions of angels in the heavens helping you at all times.”
While Archangel Michael works with all the angels, he also has a twin flame in Archangel Faith. While Michael represents the Divine Masculine, Faith embodies the Divine Feminine and is also a massive protector in the Universe. They often work side by side in protecting and summoning your courage.

Final Reflection and a Meditation to Him
Breathe in and out, several times
Breathe in and out
Chant, OM or AUM, this is the sound of the universe
Then three chants of Mi - Cha - El, Mi - Cha - El, Mi - Cha - El,
Aum, Mi Cha El, Mi Cha El, Mi Cha El
Envision me coming in to attune with you
Standing behind you, to the south
Envision fire being breathed all around you. Burning up any lower energies or negativity that is around you holding you back
Breathe in that fire and let it burn away what you no longer need
Breath in and out
Breath in and out
Now envision my blue ray surrounding you and enveloping you
Think about my deep blue cloak of protection being placed around your shoulders. Know that my love and protection is all around you and you cannot be harmed
Om or Aum
Breath in and out
Breathe in that sapphire blue light into your aura, your being
Envision that sapphire going into your throat chakra and your throat chakra being filled with beautiful blue light
Let that light cascade over you. Know that I am here to cover you and protect you
Breath in and out
Envision you are capable of anything, you have the courage and creativity to accomplish anything. Believe it and feel it.
Breathe in and out
Breathe in and out
Surrounded and bathed in my light and love
And so it is.
