Welcome to Straight from THE Source!

A History of Angels has been on the road, so I took a little break—some time to learn, attend sessions with incredible practitioners in Tucson, Arizona, and, perhaps most importantly, reflect, recharge, and reconnect with friends.

I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I hope I never stop being one. I believe that is how we continue to grow, challenge ourselves, expand our awareness, and discover new parts of who we are meant to become.

This past week was filled with incredible teachings, experiences, and moments of reflection at Miraval, the renowned health and wellness resort in the mountains of Tucson, Arizona. If you ever have the opportunity to visit, I don't think you'll be disappointed. In fact, I have a feeling you may leave seeing yourself—and your life—a little differently.

For me, this week was about coming back to myself. It was about finding joy, creating greater balance, letting go, and realizing that I don't have to carry everything on my own.

As I reflected on my time there, Archangel Gabriel stepped forward with a message that beautifully captured what this experience was meant to teach me—and perhaps what many of us need to hear right now.

Find the joy. Find the balance. And stop believing you have to do it all alone.

Angel Oracle Card Pull of the Week

One of my favorite oracle decks is Diana Cooper's Angels of Light Oracle Cards. I use them often during readings when the angels want to bring forward a message for you. The messages are always uplifting, filled with love, wisdom, and gentle guidance.

Each week, I pull an angel oracle card and ask one simple question:

Shamans, Cacao Ceremonies, and Rituals!

This month at Miraval, I had two experiences that were absolutely incredible: a cacao ceremony and a healing session with a practitioner trained in Peruvian shamanic traditions. As an ASHATI Energy Healer, I regularly work with people to help release stuck or stagnant energy, so I found the healing session especially fascinating. In some ways, it felt familiar, yet the approach was very different. While my ASHATI work focuses largely on the mental, emotional, and energetic layers of healing, this practitioner worked with areas of physical discomfort while also exploring emotional experiences that may have been connected to what I was feeling. It was a deeply meaningful experience, and I am incredibly grateful for the practitioner who worked with me.

I also participated in a beautiful cacao ceremony that included ceremonial cacao and a guided meditation inspired by traditions with deep roots in Indigenous cultures of Central and South America. Cacao is sometimes referred to in modern ceremonial practice as a “heart medicine,” and cacao itself naturally contains flavonoids, antioxidants, and other plant compounds. But what stayed with me most wasn't what was in the cacao—it was the ritual of slowing down, becoming present, and intentionally creating space for myself.

That may have been my greatest takeaway: create more rituals in your everyday life. Whether it's your morning coffee, a cup of tea, cacao, prayer, or meditation, take a few moments to slow down and truly experience it. Sometimes the simplest daily ritual can become a beautiful opportunity to reconnect with yourself, with gratitude, and with God.
